Describe the feature or problem you’d like to solve
mcpcurl dynamically discovers and calls MCP tools, but its examples cover the GitHub server. A runnable remote-server example would show how to use its existing stdio caller for web research without configuring another API key.
Proposed solution
Would an opt-in Parallel Search MCP example fit in cmd/mcpcurl/README.md? It provides free web search and page fetching without an account or API key; anonymous search uses Fast mode.
I propose using the documented mcp-remote bridge with --stdio-server-cmd, including installation and commands for tool discovery, search, and fetching. Existing GitHub examples and server behavior would stay unchanged. The example would be verified through mcpcurl itself before a PR.
Example prompts or workflows (for tools/toolsets only)
- Inspect a remote MCP server’s tool schemas and generated CLI help.
- Search for a dependency’s migration guide or release notes outside GitHub.
- Fetch the relevant pages to help investigate a repository upgrade.
Additional context
This is a documentation example for the existing CLI, with no new GitHub toolset or search replacement. Free access is intended for exploration and light use.
I work at Parallel.
